Abstract
The brain disorders such as epilepsy, cerebral ischemia and autism spectrum disorders often lead to disability or life restriction. The understanding of neural circuit based pathological mechanism and the discovery of drug targets benefits the search of approaches for the therapy. This symposium introduces the neuronal circuits underlying seizure onset，spread and termination at the different stages of temporal lobe epilepsy, and the development of cell/circuit-specific precision therapy for epilepsy with cutting-edge approaches. It also introduces the precise modulation of glutamatergic neuronal circuit for the promotion of white matter recovery following chronic cerebral ischemia. Moreover, novel targets are presented for the therapy of stroke and autism spectrum disorders, such as targets for neuroinflammation or pentose phosphate pathway. Overall, this symposium highlights the neural circuit mechanism and drug targets underlying these disorders and provides prospective therapeutic strategies.
